Melodrama was born from grief and is an outpouring of emotion rather than a planned composition. The skeletal figure at the bottom represents a lost friend of the artist. Among the heaviness, a yellow sun resembles a powerful symbol of hope and the possibility of healing. Melodrama invites viewers to sit with discomfort, to see beauty in vulnerability, and to recognize that even in sorrow, light can break through.
